GHQ Gate Attack Case: Indictment Against Imran Khan and Others Postponed Again
Islamabad: In the GHQ Gate attack case, the indictment of PTI founder Imran Khan and others could not be held once again.
According to details, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) hearing was held at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah. Imran Khan was presented in the courtroom, while PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was brought to Adiala Jail from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail under strict security. Additionally, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, and Salman Akram Raja also arrived at the jail.
During the proceedings, Imran Khan’s legal team challenged the jurisdiction of the court. The defense lawyers submitted a petition arguing the matter. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Babar Awan, said that a petition had been filed under Section 23-A of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
As the court’s jurisdiction was contested, the proceedings for the indictment of Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and others were postponed once again. The court adjourned the case until December 5 for the next hearing.
