Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ata Tarar, has accused PTI of involvement in the Bannu Peace March incident. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ata Tarar stated that violence is a consistent policy within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI); they are constantly in search of bodies, blaming their own people and security forces. He described them not as a political entity but as a terrorist group, likening them to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (TTPTI).
He mentioned that 8 youth were martyred in the attack on Bannu Cantt, with an attempt to falsely accuse the army of civilian casualties. He alleged that PTI members participated in the peace march of traders in Bannu and engaged in firing on the Cantt incident site, with armed personnel resembling militias attempting to incite violence, resulting in one fatality and 22 injuries. This incident occurred approximately one kilometer away from the wall, narrowly averting significant casualties.
