Karachi: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a schedule for gas shutdown in major areas of Karachi on Sunday. The shutdown is necessary to connect a 31-kilometer-long gas pipeline to the system.
According to the announcement issued by SSGC, gas supply will remain suspended from Sunday morning at 5 AM until Monday morning at 5 AM in various areas. The affected areas include Surjani, North Karachi sectors, and Manghopir.
During the pipeline connection, gas supply will be halted in Surjani, North Nazimabad Block, FB Area, Gulberg, Buffer Zone, SITE Industrial Area, Baldia, and Mari Pur. Additionally, gas supply will also be disrupted in areas surrounding Qasba Colony, Orangi Town, North Nazimabad Blocks, FB Area, Gulberg, Buffer Zone, SITE Industrial Area, Baldia, and Mari Pur, as well as in areas surrounding SITE Super Highway.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements during this period of gas shutdown in Karachi’s major sectors.
