Quetta:The gas field Kund Parkhi, which supplies gas to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), is facing technical issues resulting in a reduction in gas and LNG supply. This shortage has affected the operations of four LNG air mix plants in Sui Sadran.
These plants, located in the cities of Gwadar, Noshki, Surab, and Kot Ghulam Muhammad in Balochistan and Sindh, rely on the gas supplied by these facilities for domestic gas supply. Due to the shortage, there is a possibility of a complete shutdown of gas supply from all these LNG air mix plants.
In response to the gas shortage, efforts are underway to supply alternative LNG from other sources to these plants, keeping in view the shortfall in gas supply.
