Islamabad:Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has highlighted the imperative for industrial focus to secure IMF relief and boost national exports. This assertion came during a meeting led by FPCCI with Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain.
Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain underscored the government’s efforts to provide substantial relief to the public and traders, alongside the establishment of special economic zones to encourage investment. He emphasized that increasing exports is crucial for economic advancement, stressing that augmenting revenues can lead to substantial economic growth.
President Atif Ikram Sheikh reiterated the need to focus on industrial solutions to address prevailing challenges, stressing that enhancing exports is pivotal for economic progress and achieving relief from the IMF. He also highlighted that achieving relief in electricity tariffs could enable Pakistan to reach its export target of $60 billion.
The discussions underscore ongoing efforts and strategies aimed at bolstering Pakistan’s industrial sector and enhancing economic resilience in the face of current challenges.
