Four Pakistanis Stranded in Mauritania Return Home After Failed Illegal Migration Attempt

Islamabad:Four Pakistani nationals, who had been stranded in Mauritania while attempting to illegally migrate to Europe, have returned to Pakistan. The returnees landed at Sialkot Airport, with additional migrants expected to arrive in Lahore.

The Foreign Office confirmed that 22 Pakistani nationals who survived a tragic boat accident near Morocco earlier this month will begin returning home today. Reports suggest that the bodies of the Pakistanis who perished in the accident are also being repatriated, with identification processes currently underway.

Earlier this month, at least 50 migrants, including 44 Pakistanis, tragically lost their lives while attempting to reach Spain by boat from West Africa. This tragic incident highlights the ongoing risks faced by individuals attempting dangerous and illegal migration routes.
