Former Senator Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani Warns of National and Social Stagnation in Balochistan
Lahore/Quetta:Senior politician and former Senator, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing political, social, and national stagnation in Balochistan. In a video link address to Balochistan students studying in various educational institutions in Punjab, Raisani stated that Balochistan is suffering from a historic political and social deadlock, with no collective national goal in sight. He warned that the political and social vacuum in the province is being filled by proxy forces, both domestic and international, leading the region toward national chaos and decline.
Raisani emphasized that the people of Balochistan are experiencing the worst national, political, and social stagnation in history, which could potentially take a devastating turn in the coming years. He noted that political parties have failed to break this deadlock because they prioritize personal and group interests over the collective national interest of the province. Instead of focusing on the well-being of the people, political parties are seeking non-political routes to power, which has led to the exploitation of Balochistan’s political and social vacuum by external proxy forces. This, according to Raisani, has jeopardized the future of the people and pushed them into a severe crisis.
Addressing the students, Raisani urged them to recognize the responsibility they bear for the future of the province and the nation, irrespective of their ethnicity or background. He called on them to create peaceful environments in their educational institutions, focusing on collective national interests and using education as a tool to build a prosperous and dignified future. He stressed that the current path of national disorder and decline is painting a frightening future for the next generations.
Raisani further stated that this crisis cannot be attributed to a single individual or group but is a collective failure. He pointed out that the absence of a unified national goal has allowed external forces to exploit the political and social vacuum in Balochistan, a process that will prove dangerous for both the current and future generations of the region.
He concluded by stressing that the lack of a national collective goal is a critical issue and has left Balochistan vulnerable to external manipulation. He warned that this ongoing situation will have long-lasting consequences for the people of Balochistan and Pakistan as a whole, urging everyone to take responsibility for shaping a better future for the coming generations.
