Former PTI Leader Sher Afzal Marwat Optimistic About Rejoining Party Despite Multiple Expulsions

Peshawar, Pakistan:Sher Afzal Marwat, a former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), remains hopeful about rejoining the party soon, despite being expelled three times in the past. Speaking on a private TV channel, Marwat expressed confidence that PTI would face new challenges in the near future, and he would soon transition from being a former to a current leader of the party once again.

Marwat shared that over the course of a year, he had been removed from PTI three times, but he believes that the label of “former” will soon be dropped. He further emphasized that people who betray their party or leader are not appreciated by the public.

Regarding the creation of a forward bloc within PTI, Marwat stated that although it may fulfill temporary needs, such factions would not yield long-term positive outcomes. He also commented on the role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, saying that Gandapur has played a significant role in the party, and he hoped that the chief minister’s position would not be taken from him.

Marwat lauded Gandapur for his dedication, stating that the minister is not a sycophant and often goes above and beyond what is expected of him for the party’s benefit.

Reflecting on the current state of PTI, Marwat stated that the party is already grappling with internal divisions, and it would not be wise to target Ali Amin Gandapur at this time. He added that the primary reason for the party’s issues and failures lies in the lack of unity within the current leadership.
