Former Pakistani Actress Nasho Begum Opens Up About Complicated Relationship with Daughter Sahiba
Islamabad:Former Pakistani film artist Nasho Begum, who is also the mother of famous actress Sahiba, recently shared details about her strained relationship with her daughter. Nasho Begum, known for her roles in popular films such as *Rangila*, *Jaal*, *Tiger Gang*, *Insaan Aur Gadha*, *Kubra Ashiq*, *Bhesht*, *Faraaz*, and *Shikwa*, has remained a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Her last successful film was *Baji*, where she portrayed the role of Meera’s mother.
Nasho Begum, who is now active on YouTube where she shares vlogs, has often found herself in the news due to personal family matters. In a recent interview, she spoke about the reasons behind her complicated relationship with Sahiba, explaining that despite her desire to mend things, she has no reason to apologize if she feels she hasn’t done anything wrong.
“I am a very respectable and straightforward person. I could apologize, but why should I if I haven’t done anything wrong?” Nasho Begum stated. She further added that if Sahiba and her husband are happier without her, she has no objection to it. “If they don’t want to meet me, that’s fine. It is preserving their home,” she said.
Nasho Begum also addressed the controversial videos that Sahiba and her husband posted on YouTube, criticizing them for bringing personal family matters into the public eye. She remarked, “People from respectable families don’t talk about such things on YouTube. But they chose to speak about it publicly.”
Reflecting on her own life, Nasho Begum recalled her successful career in the film industry and a life lived with dignity alongside her husband. “I spent 30 years with Pasha Sahib as a proud and respected woman. He was the head of our village and the chairman of the Waqf Board. He was also a pilot and even ran for elections. We lived a life of comfort, and I raised my daughter in prosperity.”
She also disclosed that it had been 8 months since she last saw her daughter Sahiba, and the reason for their estrangement was Sahiba’s father. However, Nasho Begum stated that she had come to terms with the situation and accepted it.
It’s worth noting that recently, Sahiba had reunited with her biological father for the first time, and since that meeting, her relationship with her mother, Nasho Begum, has deteriorated.
Nasho Begum’s heartfelt words reveal a deep sense of family loyalty and a desire to maintain dignity in the face of public scrutiny, while also offering a glimpse into the personal struggles behind the glamour of the film industry.
