Former Interior Minister Malik Anayat Kasi Advocates for Resumption of ID Card Entry on Chaman-Pakistan-Afghan Border

Quetta:Malik Anayat Kasi, former Interior Minister, announced on Sunday that recognition card entries will resume on the Chamman Pakistan-Afghanistan border starting today, following the acceptance of all legitimate demands by the protesters at Chamman. Speaking from the ongoing protest camp at Chamman, which has been running for 304 days, Malik Anayat Kasi stated that all demands of the Chamman protesters have been met.

He further elaborated that from today onward, entry on the Chamman Pakistan-Afghanistan border will be based on recognition cards and passports. For those who do not have recognition cards, ten mobile vans will arrive at Chamman to issue identity cards to local residents up to 18 years of age. Until they receive their recognition cards, they will be allowed to cross the border on a token issued against their recognition card.

Malik Anayat Kasi clarified that recognition cards and passports from Chamman and Spin Boldak will be acceptable for crossing the border on both sides. No other area’s residential identification will be permitted to cross the border through legal means.

Furthermore, he emphasized that any negotiations conducted by the government henceforth will solely be in collaboration with the Chamman Union. There will be no discussions with any other group or country regarding border matters. Animals such as sheep, goats, and cows will be permitted to cross the border, but no other animals will be allowed.

Malik Anayat Kasi assured that officials responsible for Chamman’s administration will uphold the dignity of the issued manifesto and continue to serve the people of Chamman as ordinary citizens.
