Quetta:The Safe City project has been formally initiated in Quetta, aimed at enhancing surveillance capabilities through the installation of 800 modern cameras across the city. The project intends to curb terrorism and reduce crime by closely monitoring notorious individuals.
According to the Safe City Project Operator Officer SP Adil Akbar, under this initiative, an additional 600 cameras will soon be installed. Control rooms have been established to monitor cameras placed on entry and exit points throughout the city. Vigilance has been heightened on duty-bound personnel under the Safe City Project to ensure effective performance.
SP Adil Akbar appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the Safe City Project by promptly reporting any information related to criminal activities or incidents in any area to the dedicated appeal call number 1788. This, he emphasized, will facilitate timely action and ensure the project’s effectiveness in maintaining public safety.
