Fog Causes Multiple Accidents in Dera Ismail Khan and Khushab, 40 Injured

DERA ISMAIL KHAN / KHUSHAB:Dense fog in the areas of Dera Ismail Khan and Khushab led to several accidents, leaving 40 individuals injured, with many in critical condition.

In Dera Ismail Khan, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the thick fog reduced visibility to dangerous levels, resulting in collisions between multiple vehicles on Bhakkar Road. At least 20 people were injured in the accident, two of whom are in critical condition. Police confirmed the incident and stated that the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.

In another incident on Bannu Road, near Sadar Sharif, two passenger vehicles collided due to the heavy fog. This accident left 12 people injured, all of whom were immediately transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, in the Punjab region of Khushab, fog caused a pile-up on the Jhelum Bridge, where three vehicles collided. Eight individuals sustained severe injuries in the crash and were also transferred to the DHQ hospital for treatment.

Rescue teams and emergency services have been working tirelessly to provide assistance to the victims and manage the situation in these affected areas. Local authorities have urged drivers to exercise extreme caution when traveling in foggy conditions.
