Florida Woman Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Boyfriend’s Death in Suitcase

Florida:A Florida woman, Sarah Boone, has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of murdering her boyfriend, George Torres, by locking him inside a suitcase and leaving him to die from asphyxiation.

The tragic incident occurred in February 2020, when 47-year-old Sarah Boone, under the guise of playing a game of hide and seek, locked her 42-year-old boyfriend inside the suitcase at her home. Unfortunately, George suffocated and died as a result.

During the trial, Sarah Boone claimed that she had been physically abused by Torres for years and pleaded for leniency, requesting to be forgiven for her actions. She insisted that she did not intend for him to die, stating in court, “I tried so hard, but I couldn’t stop loving him. I didn’t mean for him to die, please forgive me, George.
