Floods Disrupt Connectivity in Qalat’s Rural Areas; Urgent Call for Assistance

Qalat:The rural areas of Nechara and Pandaran in Qalat have been severely affected by torrential rains and flooding, leading to the complete disruption of land connectivity. Multiple vehicles, including passenger cars and fruit-laden trucks, are stranded due to the floodwaters.

The flood has caused extensive damage, with roads leading to Nechara, Pandaran, Khaddi, Ameri, and Lahdar being washed away. Vehicles attempting to travel to Nechara and those carrying fruits from Nechara to Qalat have become stuck. Residents have contacted media representatives, reporting that all land routes from Sarkhin to Nechara Cross and Pandaran are completely cut off.

In light of these dire circumstances, stranded individuals have urged immediate action from local authorities. They have called upon Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langoo, Deputy Commissioner Qalat, Assistant Commissioner Qalat, and officials from the MMD (Metrological and Management Department) to deploy emergency teams and heavy machinery, such as tractors and graders, to clear the affected areas and ensure the safe passage of stranded vehicles and passengers.
