Karachi:on Nishat Street, an armed clash between two groups resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including Akbar Bugti’s grandson.
The deceased have been identified as Mir Mahsum Bugti, Mir Essa Bugti, Ali Bugti, Fahad Bugti, and Nasibullah. Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali are among the wounded.
According to reports, the exchange of fire occurred between Fahad Bugti’s group and Ali Haider Bugti’s group. Three individuals from one group and two from the other were killed in the clash. The factions are reportedly affiliated with the Bugti family.
Following the incident, heavy contingents of police and Rangers have been deployed outside Jinnah Hospital’s emergency department. A large number of members from both groups have arrived at the emergency ward. No one is allowed to leave the emergency ward except for the injured and sick.
Authorities at Jinnah Hospital have confirmed the arrival of five bodies, while two injured individuals have been transferred to a private hospital. The bodies of the other three deceased have been taken to the mortuary of Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have set up checkpoints to prevent any further clashes and are actively pursuing legal action against those involved. Interior Minister Sindh, Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, has instructed the Additional IG Karachi to provide detailed information on the incident. He emphasized that no one is above the law and every possible measure will be taken to uphold law and order.
The Interior Minister underscored the need for decisive legal action against those responsible for the armed clash to prevent any disruption of peace in the city.
