Five Children Die in Gujrat Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Gujrat:A tragic incident occurred in **Gujrat**, where **five children** aged between **6 and 13 years** died after being exposed to **carbon monoxide** in their home. The children were found dead in a room, allegedly due to the inhalation of toxic gases produced by burning coal.
According to **Rescue 1122** officials, the bodies of the five children were discovered on **Shah Jehangir Road** in **Gujrat** on **Saturday**. The children had reportedly been using coal for heating purposes inside their room.
**Preliminary investigations** suggest that the cause of death was suffocation due to the buildup of harmful gases, particularly **carbon monoxide**, from the burning coal. Authorities are currently conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
Officials revealed that the children were siblings, with four of them being brothers and sisters, while one was their cousin. The children’s mother stated that she had gone to the hospital for a check-up, and when she returned home, she found the children in an unconscious state. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the children were pronounced dead by the doctors.
