First Public Air Ambulance Service Launched in Pakistan

Lahore: For the first time in Pakistan’s history, the “Golden Hour” initiative has begun, providing air ambulance services to the general public. The lifesaving service was recently utilized to airlift Halima Bibi from Mianwali to Rawalpindi after she fell from a roof, sustaining critical injuries.
The 40-year-old Halima Bibi was in a precarious condition requiring urgent transfer to a major hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the call, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif swiftly arranged her transportation via the “Golden Hour” air ambulance service. Under the supervision of Dr. Razwan Nasir, doctors performed immediate surgery upon her arrival in Rawalpindi.
The trial service of the Rescue Air Ambulance facilitated the prompt transfer of Halima Bibi from Mianwali to Rawalpindi, ensuring timely medical intervention. Expressing gratitude, Halima Bibi’s family prayed for Chief Minister Punjab, saying, “Maryam Nawaz Sharif proved to be an angel of mercy. May Allah grant her life and success.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif conveyed a message to Halima Bibi’s family, stating, “One who saves a life, saves humanity. It is by the will of Allah that we act. Alhamdulillah. My heartfelt wish and prayer are to alleviate every citizen’s suffering and bring happiness into their lives.” She appealed to the entire nation for prayers for Halima Bibi’s recovery.
The introduction of air ambulance services to the public marks a significant step in Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure, aiming to provide critical care access to all citizens in times of emergency.
