Quetta:A wildfire has erupted in the Durgh area of Musa Khel district, engulfing an area of one kilometer. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Musa Khel, the fire broke out unexpectedly on Thursday evening and quickly spread to the Dhuli area.
Upon receiving reports of the fire, local Levies, FC personnel, and residents initiated efforts to extinguish the flames. However, due to the water supply being three kilometers away from the fire site and the increasing intensity of the blaze, the Deputy Commissioner has requested assistance from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Headquarters 12 Corps to deploy helicopters and aircraft for aerial water spraying.
As of late last night, the spread of the fire had not been contained.
