Financial Irregularities Uncovered During PTI’s Government, 907 Million Rupees Allegedly Misused in Muzaffargarh

Significant financial irregularities have come to light during the tenure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, with reports of alleged misuse of 907 million rupees by the CEO of the District Authority Muzaffargarh. These irregularities took place in the fiscal year 2021-22.

The Audit Department has taken strict action, directing the CEO and Deputy Commissioner of Muzaffargarh to face legal proceedings. The department has declared the 2021-22 budget illegal and deemed the approval process highly controversial.

It is important to note that the CEO of the District Health Authority’s tenure had ended in 2018. However, despite this, the 2021 budget was approved, with the Deputy Commissioner of Muzaffargarh signing off on it. Further investigations are underway, and the process of holding those responsible accountable is ongoing.
