Islamabad:Speaking at an event, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized that certain elements within and outside Pakistan had aimed to default the country, but the PTI government had a singular agenda to safeguard Pakistan from bankruptcy.
Addressing the ceremony in Islamabad, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted existing opportunities for economic growth, stressing the need to remove obstacles and implement reforms for economic stability.
“We are confronting all kinds of challenges. Despite limited resources, developmental projects are progressing, and Pakistan is advancing on the path of economic growth,” he said, adding that speed breakers hindering progress need to be eliminated.
Referring to Pakistan’s economic journey from 2013 to 2017, he remarked that it had been a period of economic advancement. “Whenever I got the opportunity, I worked for the betterment of the economy, engaging in economic diplomacy worldwide. I fought Pakistan’s economic war in 15 months,” he added.
Ishaq Dar reassured, “If Pakistan has a non-foreign debt of $130 billion, there is no need to worry; our economy has immense potential.”
