FIA Arrests Two for Attempting to Fraudulently Obtain U.S. Visa with Fake Documents

Islamabad:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Smuggling Circle has arrested a suspect and his accomplice following a complaint from the U.S. Consulate. The suspects attempted to obtain a U.S. visa by presenting fake cancer-related documents.
The arrested individuals are Rizwan Abbas from Sialkot and his accomplice, the alleged travel agent facilitator, Amir Hamza, a resident of Karachi. Rizwan Abbas submitted fake bank statements equivalent to one crore rupees to the consulate. Additionally, he presented forged documents claiming to be the owner of a travel agency.
The suspect also procured fake laboratory reports and hospital certificates for 30,000 rupees from a laboratory assistant. Rizwan Abbas’s application for a U.S. visa had been rejected previously by the U.S. Embassy.
After the arrests, further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.
