Islamabad:Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar, has reacted to Chief Minister Ali Amin’s recent statements regarding the Taliban, stating that those bringing them back say they won’t allow operations.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Atta Tarar remarked that Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa states one thing in gatherings and another in sessions, reflecting inconsistencies in his statements.
He questioned those bringing back the Taliban, “If you won’t allow operations, what is your plan? What are you doing for anti-terrorism measures? Despite claims being made, no such operation is underway.”
The Information Minister emphasized that a few individuals are unnecessarily discussing security matters, while the situation remains precarious, and institutions are constantly under threat. He stressed the need for the government to establish peace.
Atta Tarar also mentioned that permission was granted to Jamaat-e-Islami to hold a gathering or protest in Liaquat Bagh, under specified conditions, asserting readiness to engage in dialogue for the country’s stability.
