Islamabad:The federal government has assigned additional responsibilities to the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Rashid Langrial. According to a notification issued, Rashid Langrial has been given the additional charge of Secretary Revenue.
Sources indicate that Langrial will hold this additional charge for three months or until a permanent Secretary Revenue is appointed. The decision to assign these responsibilities to Langrial was deemed necessary for the effective exercise of full powers.
Previously, Amjad Zubair Tiwana, who was also serving as Chairman FBR, held the charge of Secretary Revenue. It is notable that Rashid Langrial was appointed as Chairman FBR just a day before this notification.
