Federal Government Announces Revised Working Hours for Ramadan

The federal government has officially announced the revised working hours for government offices during the holy month of Ramadan. The adjusted timings aim to ensure effective operations while providing convenience to employees during the month of fasting.
For government offices operating on a 5-day workweek, the revised working hours will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays.
The government encourages public servants to utilize these hours effectively and ensure smooth administrative operations while considering the special importance of Ramadan.
For offices that work six days a week, the timings will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and Saturday, with Friday’s hours reduced to 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
These adjustments align with the government’s commitment to balancing professional responsibilities with religious duties, allowing employees to continue their official tasks efficiently while fulfilling their spiritual obligations, including fasting and prayers.
Ramadan, the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred time for Muslims worldwide. Several countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, also implement reduced working hours during this period to support their workforce.
