Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad has announced the results for the annual examinations of 2024 for the ninth and tenth grades. The pass percentage for ninth grade students was 61.78%, while for tenth grade students, it stood at 92.29%.
According to the results released by the Federal Educational Board, in the matriculation science group, Zabida Nasib from Army Public School EME College Campus, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi secured first position with 1087 marks. Hijab Fatima from Global School System, Green Zone, Rawalpindi Cantonment, secured second position with 1085 marks, followed by Masood Shehbaz from Army Public School Golra Campus, Rawalpindi Cantonment, and Fatima Wajid from Fauji Foundation Model School, Safari Town, Rawalpindi, who both secured third position with 1084 marks.
In the Humanities group, Aqsa Farooq from Beaconhouse School System, Murree Road, Rawalpindi Cantonment, secured first position with 1032 marks, followed by Onaiza Jalil from DHQ Senior School for Girls, Lahore, with 1025 marks securing second position, and Muhammad Anas from Institute of Islamic Sciences, Sattar Mill, Islamabad, securing third position with 1014 marks.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Federal Educational Board, Syed Janaid Akhlaq, briefed the Federal Secretary of Education about the examination system and congratulated the students who secured positions. Special guest Federal Secretary of Education, Mahiuddin Ahmed Wani, expressed his pleasure in assuming responsibilities as Secretary of Education. He said, “It is our success that today, talented Pakistani children hold their place all over the world.” He further stated, “We are committed to improving the standard of education in government schools. I congratulate the successful students.”
At the end of the ceremony, Federal Secretary of Education Mahiuddin Ahmed Wani, Chairman of the Federal Board Syed Janaid Akhlaq, and Secretary of the Federal Board Dr. Bashir Khan distributed awards among the position-holders.
