Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that its offices will remain open today (Sunday) for taxpayers to submit their income tax returns. With only one day left before the deadline, the last date for filing income tax returns is tomorrow (Monday).
Many citizens are experiencing difficulties accessing the FBR website due to technical issues with the IRIS system, which has hindered their ability to file returns. FBR sources stated that they are working on resolving these technical problems and will ensure that no citizen is deprived of submitting their tax return.
The FBR has emphasized that offices will remain open today to assist taxpayers, and it has reiterated that the deadline for submitting tax returns is September 30, with no extensions granted.
In light of these challenges, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) have expressed concern over the difficulties faced by taxpayers and have requested a one-month extension for the submission of income tax returns.
