Fatal Air Collision Near Washington: 67 Killed in Plane and Helicopter Crash

A tragic air collision near Washington D.C. has claimed the lives of 67 individuals, after a passenger plane and a military helicopter collided. The incident occurred as the U.S. airline flight, which had arrived from Wichita, Kansas, was approaching the Washington area, near the Potomac River.
The plane, carrying 64 passengers and crew members, collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter, which had 3 military personnel onboard. All 67 people aboard both the aircraft and the helicopter were confirmed dead. The majority of the bodies have already been recovered from the river.
This accident is being hailed as the worst air disaster in the U.S. in over 23 years since 9/11. The Pentagon has launched an investigation into the crash.
