Famous YouTuber Rajab Butt’s Umrah Videos Go Viral Amid Criticism and Support

Well-known Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt is making headlines after his Umrah videos went viral on social media. In one of the videos, he is seen using a wheelchair while performing the Sa’i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah) during Umrah. This sparked a wave of criticism from social media users, questioning why Rajab Butt and his friends, who appear healthy, chose to use a wheelchair.

Some users expressed their discontent, pointing out that wheelchairs are typically used by individuals who are sick or unable to walk. One user commented, “Didn’t Allah give them legs?” Another criticized, saying, “They are performing Umrah, but they can’t endure fatigue.”

Despite the criticism, Rajab Butt also received support from his fans. Some users defended him, saying that it must be stressful for him to be unable to walk, and others suggested that there might be a genuine issue for which he was using the wheelchair.

This incident follows another viral video of Rajab Butt, where he is seen apologizing in front of the Kaaba while in a state of Ihram. In the video, Rajab Butt says, “My life, wealth, parents, children, and every drop of my blood is sacrificed for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). I swear I did not do anything intentionally.”

He went on to apologize again, asking people to forgive him for any unintentional wrongs. “I had apologized before for anything I did unknowingly, and once again, I request everyone to cleanse their hearts for me,” he added.

Rajab Butt also made an appeal to religious scholars, the Punjab government, and the Pakistani military, asking for a review of the case and to ensure that he is given justice. “The charge of Section 295 against me was falsely applied. I had mentioned in my vlog that 295 was wrongfully imposed, but the word ‘false’ was removed, and a fatwa was issued on Section 295. Despite that, I stand here in this sacred place and apologize once again,” he said.

It is worth noting that Rajab Butt is facing legal charges under Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with blasphemy. An FIR was lodged against him at the Nishter Colony Police Station in Lahore, accusing him of insulting religious sentiments and violating the sanctity of the law. According to the FIR, a citizen accused Rajab Butt of tarnishing the religious feelings of Muslims in one of his videos.
