Faisalabad Police Arrest PTI Workers Disguised as Wedding Guests for Protest

Faisalabad: Faisalabad police have arrested 27 PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) workers who attempted to participate in a protest disguised as wedding guests. The workers, traveling in eight decorated Land Cruisers, were apprehended on Sargodha Road after being identified by the police.
According to the police, the PTI workers were attempting to bypass restrictions imposed under Section 144, which prohibits public gatherings. Over 500 PTI supporters have reportedly been taken into custody in Faisalabad in relation to violations of the ban on protests.
