Islamabad:Senior politician Faisal Vawda has expressed skepticism regarding the likelihood of protests occurring at D-Chowk, criticizing the current government’s approach to handling opposition demonstrations. Speaking to a private TV channel, he remarked that the “incompetent government” preemptively sets up containers to deflate any potential PTI protests.
Vawda confidently predicted that by October 21, Pakistan will be in a better state, coinciding with his birthday celebration. He accused the PTI of engaging in “politics of corpses,” suggesting they desire chaos and bloodshed, particularly with Faiz Hamid mentioning Imran Khan’s name. He noted that contrary to expectations, the economy has shown signs of recovery.
He highlighted that inflation has dropped to single digits and that a deal has been struck with the IMF, which he deemed a positive sign. Vawda suggested that the government should have permitted PTI to hold a rally in a designated area.
In response to a question about former ISI chief General (R) Faiz Hamid, Vawda stated that he is likely to face punishment following a court martial.
