Failure of Irrigation Policies Leads to Crop Drying on Thousands of Acres, Rice Seed Worth Crores Rupees
Sohbatpur:Mohammad Ali Khosa, Chairman of the District Council, expressed concern over the failure of irrigation policies, which has resulted in thousands of acres of agricultural land becoming fallow and rice seeds worth crores of rupees drying up.
According to details, Mohammad Ali Khosa, Chairman of Sahibatpur District Council, stated that fields in areas such as Nasir Branch, Auch Branch, Jhedir Branch, and Tipal Branch are now drying up for lack of water. He emphasized that due to the unsuccessful irrigation policies, lakhs of acres of agricultural land have become barren, and rice seeds worth crores of rupees have also dried up. This has left small landowners and farmers in dire need, especially those who depend on rice cultivation for their livelihoods.
Chairman Babar Mohammad Ali Khosa of the District Council highlighted that the moment calls for immediate concern, as the failure of irrigation policies has severely affected the agricultural community in Sahibatpur.
