Islamabad:A reduction in petrol and diesel prices is anticipated from August 16. According to sources, petrol prices may decrease by 8 rupees and 36 paisas per liter, while diesel prices are expected to drop by 7 rupees and 70 paisas per liter.
Additionally, a reduction in the price of light diesel by 4 rupees and 49 paisas and kerosene oil by 7 rupees and 71 paisas per liter is also forecasted.
Government sources attribute the potential price decrease to reduced consumption by major economies. However, with three days remaining until August 16, fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products are still possible.
