Islamabad:In the first semifinal of the Euro Cup held in Munich, Spain faced France in a thrilling encounter. France took an early lead in the eighth minute with a goal from Randal Collo, asserting dominance over Spain. However, France’s lead did not last long as Spain’s 16-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamil scored a spectacular goal in the 21st minute, leveling the score.
Yamil’s goal not only equalized the match but also made him the youngest goal scorer in the history of the Euro Cup. Previously, Swiss player Johan Vonlanthen held the record for scoring at the age of 18 against France in the 2004 Euro Cup.
After equalizing, Spain continued to press forward, and in the 25th minute, Daniel Olmo scored another brilliant goal against France, securing the lead for his team until the end of the stipulated time. Thus, Spain defeated France 2-1, qualifying for the Euro Cup final.
The decision on the second team to reach the final will be decided after the second semifinal match between England and the Netherlands.
