Election Tribunal Imposes Fine on Ziaullah Langove, Hearing Adjourned for Next Session

Quetta:The Election Tribunal for Quetta (UNA) has imposed a fine on Ziaullah Langove following his absence during a hearing regarding electoral irregularities. Meanwhile, Zark Khan Mandokhail’s plea has been adjourned.

Recently, the Election Tribunal, comprising Justice Abdullah Baloch of the Balochistan High Court, convened to hear cases related to electoral misconduct in PB-42, PB-40, and PB-36 constituencies. Advocates presented arguments on behalf of the parties during the proceedings. Mohammad Riaz, representing Abdul Khaliq Hazara of the Hazara Democratic Party, and Nadeer Chalgari, representing Zark Khan Mandokhail, participated in the hearing. However, Zark Khan Mandokhail’s plea was later adjourned until August 5th.

Furthermore, the Tribunal secured evidence from both parties involved in the PB-40 constituency, subsequently safeguarding the decision. Mohammad Riaz, spokesperson for the Hazara Democratic Party and former Assembly member, presented their case during the hearing. Additionally, the Election Tribunal conducted a hearing regarding PB-36 constituency, where successful candidate Mir Ziaullah Langove was penalized for non-appearance with a fine of Rs. 100,000. Representing Langove, Advocate Saleem Lashari appeared, while Advocate Syed Akram Shah represented Sardar Zadah Saeed Langove. The court warned that if Zia Langove fails to appear at the next hearing, his right to defense may be forfeited, with proceedings adjourned until August 2nd.
