Election of Chairpersons in Four Standing Committees Held in Balochistan Assembly

Quetta:On Tuesday, elections for chairpersons of four standing committees were conducted in the Balochistan Assembly. Members of the assembly unanimously elected chairpersons for these committees during their respective sessions.

In the session of the Education, Literacy, and Non-formal Education Committee, Higher Education, Presidential Program CDWP, Standard Education, and Science & Information Technology Committee, Khair Jan Baloch was elected as the chairperson.

Rahmat Ali Baloch was elected as the chairperson for the Information Department, Sports & Culture, Tourism, Antiquities (Museum), and Libraries Committee.

In the session of the Irrigation & Energy, Environment, Forests & Wildlife Committee, Prince Ahmed Omar Ahmedzai and Mohammad Nawaz were elected as co-chairpersons.

Dr. Mohammad Nawaz was elected as the chairperson for the Public Health & Population Welfare Committee.

These elections mark an important step in the functional capacity of the Balochistan Assembly’s standing committees, aiming to address critical issues across various sectors in the province.
