Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has officially included 58 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. According to the latest update, the commission has sent the list of these members to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, while the remaining 34 PTI members have been classified as independents.
The list from the Election Commission also designates most of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial ministers as independents. However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been confirmed as a PTI member. Notably, eight members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet are absent from the PTI list and have been categorized as independents.
Among those not included in the PTI list are provincial ministers Aftab Alam, Meena Khan, and Fazal Hakim, as well as ministers Adnan Qadri, Khaleequr Rehman, Liaquat Ali, and Dr. Amjad. Additionally, Advisor on Culture and Tourism Zahid Chinoy has also been classified as an independent. With the recent changes, the total number of PTI members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly stands at 92.
