Earthquake Tremors Felt in Chaman, Balochistan

*Chaman: Earthquake tremors were felt in the Chaman district of Balochistan and its surrounding areas, causing panic among the residents. People rushed out of their homes, reciting the Kalma Tayyibah in fear. According to the earthquake monitoring center, the quake had a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located in northeastern Afghanistan.
Tremors were also felt in nearby areas including Qila Abdullah, Gulistan, Jangal Pir Ali Zai, and Toba Achakzai. In Afghanistan, the cities of Kandahar and Spin Boldak, along with several other districts, experienced the tremors as well.
Following the quake, widespread panic was reported, with many locals seeking safety outside their homes. There have been no reports of damage or casualties as of yet.
It is worth noting that a similar earthquake struck Balochistan’s Zhob district in July earlier this year, with tremors registering a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale.*
