Islamabad:A unique number plate in **Dubai**, **P7**, has been sold for an astonishing **55 million dirhams**, setting a new record for the most expensive license plate in the world.

The **P7** number plate was auctioned at a special event held at the **Jumeirah Hotel** in Dubai, where a fierce bidding war took place. This record-breaking sale is part of the UAE’s longstanding trend of high-value number plates, with several other plates in the past fetching astronomical prices.

2. **AA9** (Dubai, 2021) – 38 million dirhams
3. **AA8** (Dubai, 2022) – 35 million dirhams
4. **D5** (Dubai, 2016) – 33 million dirhams

The auction was conducted by **Emirates Auction**, a Dubai-based company that has now made history by selling the world’s most expensive number plate. The sale reached **55 million dirhams** after a successful bid by **Pavel Valerievich Durov**, the founder and owner of the **Telegram** app.
