Dubai Police Arrest 127 Beggars During Ramadan, Seize 50,000 Dirhams

Dubai Police have arrested 127 beggars in the city by the middle of Ramadan, with reports indicating the seizure of 50,000 dirhams from those detained. According to media reports, the arrests were carried out by the General Department of Criminal Investigation in cooperation with Dubai Police stations.

Authorities have emphasized that due to the implementation of strict and decisive measures in the anti-begging campaign, the number of beggars has decreased annually. A comprehensive security plan was developed to intensify operations during Ramadan, with an increased police presence in areas where beggars are most likely to be found.
