Quetta:In a bid to ensure the provision of women’s rights and enhance their prominent participation across all sectors of life in Balochistan, Dr. Rubaba Khan Baloch has been nominated as the Chairperson of the Women Empowerment Committee. The Women Empowerment Committee aims to empower women in crucial areas, including government job allocations under quotas for women, establishment of women markets, provision of travel facilities, and facilitation of business licenses. It also includes providing legal assistance to women facing harassment.
Furthermore, the committee will issue NOCs for women’s functions in public parks, oversee corrections in land records and data related to women’s inheritance rights, and address other pertinent issues related to women’s rights. Dr. Rubaba Khan Baloch expressed her dedication to ensuring substantial improvements for women in Balochistan through the efforts of the committee. She stated her pride in leading the committee and expressed her desire to collaborate closely with its esteemed members to bring meaningful change.
She emphasized that this initiative demonstrates the steadfast commitment of the Balochistan government to promote gender equality and create an inclusive environment where women can thrive. The Women Empowerment Committee is expected to prove instrumental in ensuring the provision of women’s rightful rights and securing their active participation across all sectors of society. Other distinguished members of the Women Empowerment Committee include Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqat, Pari Gul Tarin, Roshan Khurshid Barocha, Alauddin Khalji, and other respected personalities.
