Quetta:In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Dr. Maah Rang Baloch highlighted the ongoing sit-in on Siryab Road, Quetta, for the past 11 days by Zahid Baloch’s family demanding his safe return. Today, a rally was organized, but it was marred by violence against peaceful protesters, including women and children, and the arrest of peaceful demonstrators.
Dr. Maah Rang Baloch expressed deep concern that instead of resolving issues peacefully and respecting the rule of law, authorities are resorting to disappearances of citizens while their families protest peacefully. She condemned the use of severe violence against women and children who raise their voices against injustice, emphasizing that such actions are historically erroneous in silencing public dissent.
She appealed to all Baloch people and conscientious citizens to stand in solidarity against these acts of violence and arrests targeting Zahid Baloch’s family and peaceful demonstrators. Dr. Maah Rang Baloch called upon the mindful citizens of Quetta to swiftly reach the Red Zone and support the families of missing persons in their struggle.
