Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Vows to Represent Hazara Community’s Struggles, Criticizes Unfair Practices and Political Manipulation

Quetta:The leader of the National Party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, pledged that the party would continue to represent the voice of the Hazara community in the provincial assembly and at all political forums, emphasizing the party’s commitment to fighting for their rights and addressing their issues.
Speaking at a gathering organized by Hazara Town and Alamdar Road members on Thursday, Dr. Baloch expressed his strong condemnation of the systemic discrimination against the Hazara community, particularly after their genocide, which led to the stripping away of their political representation and basic rights.
Dr. Baloch highlighted the ongoing human rights violations, such as the issue of enforced disappearances, which he described as a “grave matter” that remains unresolved. He pointed out that national highways are blocked daily due to protests for the recovery of missing persons, yet the government remains indifferent. He called on the state to show seriousness in addressing this issue.
The National Party leader also criticized the unjust treatment of the Hazara community, particularly at the NADRA and Passport offices, where legitimate citizens face discrimination despite possessing the necessary documents. He denounced the ongoing abuse of power and the imposition of arbitrary policies that continue to harm the people of Balochistan.
Dr. Baloch reminded the audience of the sacrifices of political figures like Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, who endured years of imprisonment for standing up against the oppressive One Unit system. He emphasized that Balochistan’s political workers have always been at the forefront of the struggle against military dictatorships, from Ayub Khan’s regime to General Musharraf’s.
He stressed that the National Party’s philosophy is rooted in nationalism and humanism, aiming to unite all communities in Balochistan under its banner, thus ensuring that the province has a true representative party that stands for its rights.
The National Party’s Secretary-General, Mir Kabir Ahmad Muhammad Shah, also addressed the gathering, praising the Hazara community for their intellectual contributions to Balochistan. He condemned NADRA’s discriminatory policies that deny Hazara individuals their rightful identity documents despite providing evidence. He also highlighted the broader mistreatment of the Baloch people by the ruling authorities, particularly through enforced disappearances and the illegal detention of political activists.
Mir Kabir Ahmad further criticized the political manipulation of the election process, where the seat of the National Party in Saryab was illegally taken through a fabricated Form 47, and an outsider was imposed on the constituency. He warned that public trust in democracy is eroding due to such practices.
Both Dr. Baloch and Mir Kabir urged the public to unite under the National Party’s banner to combat the undemocratic system and work towards a future where basic rights and needs, such as education, health, and security, are guaranteed for all.
At the conclusion of the event, several individuals, including Ismail Chengizi, Syed Abdullah Agha, Samad Ali Hazara, and Karblai Chaman Ali Hazara, expressed their trust in the leadership of the National Party and officially joined the party.
