Donald Trump’s Popularity Declines Amid Controversies and Uncertainty

U.S. President Donald Trump’s post-election goodwill tour has come to an abrupt end within just two months, with his popularity beginning to dip.
According to a Gallup poll, Trump’s approval rating among Americans has dropped from 47% to 43%. His controversial proposals, such as the Project 2025, tariff threats, and bizarre ideas like renaming the Gulf of Mexico and claiming Greenland, have led to growing disillusionment among Americans.
Further fueling tensions were Elon Musk’s unchecked interventions and the Signal Gate scandal, which added more fuel to the fire. The survey revealed that only 38% of people are satisfied with his trade policies, and his support on economic matters and other issues is also waning.
Experts believe that Trump’s second term is shaping up to be filled with chaos and uncertainty, much like his first. It is noteworthy that Trump took office as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, 2025.
