DG PDMA Jahanzeb Khan Visits Divisional Warehouse Under Construction in Totak
Khodhbar: December 19, 2024 – Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Balochistan, Jahanzeb Khan, along with Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, visited the site of the under-construction Divisional Warehouse in Totak. The warehouse is being built with the collaboration of PDMA in the Totak area, located near the Khuzdar National Highway, and is intended to serve as a central storage facility for relief goods at the divisional level.
During the visit, DG PDMA Jahanzeb Khan praised the provincial government’s initiative, highlighting the strategic location of the warehouse. He emphasized that in the event of an emergency, such as floods or earthquakes, the warehouse would play a crucial role in providing rapid relief by ensuring the swift distribution of necessary supplies to affected areas. He noted that PDMA is a dynamic agency committed to delivering timely assistance across Balochistan in the aftermath of disasters.
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti also spoke during the visit, expressing confidence that the new divisional warehouse at the junction of the National Highway in Totak would significantly improve the efficiency and speed of relief operations, ensuring faster recovery and rehabilitation for the people. He mentioned that the provincial government is launching various initiatives across different sectors to foster public well-being and restore the trust of the people.
The construction of this divisional warehouse is part of these ongoing efforts to enhance emergency response capabilities. During the visit, Superintendent of DC Office Khuzdar, Murad Guzzoi, was also present.
The new facility aims to provide a more organized and effective system for the storage and distribution of emergency supplies in times of crisis, significantly improving disaster response in the region.
