DG ISPR to Hold Press Conference Today at 3 PM on National Security Issues
Islamabad:Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, will hold a significant press conference today at 3 PM. During the briefing, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) will update the media on the current security situation and national security matters.
In his previous press briefing on July 22, DG ISPR emphasized the need for regular press conferences to counter the increasing misinformation and propaganda. He stated that these briefings are essential not only to clarify the military’s position on various issues but also to address deliberately spread rumors and falsehoods.
General Chaudhry had noted that Operation Azm-e-Stablaat is a comprehensive and coordinated campaign, supported by legal and law enforcement agencies. He highlighted that a significant illegal political mafia is attempting to sabotage the operation, with its first step being to dispute the operations through false arguments.
Referring to the 14 points of the National Action Plan, he affirmed that operations are ongoing effectively, with 4 to 5 operations conducted every hour. He also mentioned that all political parties have decided to eliminate illegal spectrums where terrorism is thriving, and steps have been taken to end this menace.
Additionally, he reiterated the commitment to addressing the country’s security challenges and reaffirmed the Army’s resolve against organized and fabricated propaganda. General Chaudhry pointed out that a powerful lobby is involved in undermining the objectives of the ‘Operation Azm-e-Stablaat,’ engaging in digital terrorism against the Army and the country.
