DG Balochistan Levies Forces Emphasizes Commitment to Public Safety and Professionalism

Quetta:The Director General of Balochistan Levies Force, Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, highlighted the unique role of Levies in maintaining law and order in the province, stating that it is a community-based force with a direct connection to the public. He emphasized that the Levies Force, with its century-long history, is recognized for its courage, bravery, and integrity.

He acknowledged that despite facing various challenges over the years, the Levies Force has never faltered in its commitment to serving the people with honesty and valor. According to him, 80% of the areas under Levies’ jurisdiction experience minimal crime rates.

Abdul Ghaffar Magsi further stated that Levies personnel are always at the forefront during disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and accidents, in addition to maintaining peace and order. He also mentioned that efforts are being made to enhance the technical training of Levies personnel alongside their military training.

The DG urged Levies officers to maintain close ties with the public and remain prepared to protect them, ensuring that their standards are so high that terrorists would be intimidated by the Levies Force. He advised Levies personnel to avoid causing distress to the public and to stay vigilant in safeguarding citizens’ lives and property.

Magsi concluded by stressing the importance of professionalism in their services and encouraged Levies personnel to use all their abilities to ensure the safety of citizens and combat anti-social elements.
