Development Initiatives Launched in District Hub with Focus on Education and Infrastructure

Quetta:Following the establishment of District Hub, the Hub Development Committee has commenced its development efforts for the first time. Deputy Commissioner Hub, Ruhana Gul Kakaar, announced the initiation of various developmental projects, including the reopening of 53 closed schools. This initiative has been made possible through the collaboration of philanthropists, industrialists, and mine owners.

During a briefing on the visit of Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, the advisor to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and the Provincial Advisor for Industry and Commerce, Deputy Commissioner Kakaar highlighted the administration’s focus on critical issues. One of the key priorities has been the relocation of biomedical waste from the Government Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital to a secure location and ensuring a healthy environment for patients. The administration has successfully addressed this issue by activating the Hub Development Committee.

The briefing also covered several key developments, including:
– The provision of furniture and other facilities to the Government Girls College.
– The establishment of a library in the Sessi Pano Village.
– The construction and repair of two bus stops in the district.

Furthermore, in 2019, the Balochistan government allocated 40 acres of land for a cemetery. The need for land leveling and the construction of the cemetery’s boundary wall was emphasized. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri issued directives to prepare a PC-1 document for these requirements to ensure timely funding from the Balochistan government.
