Quetta:Under strict directives from Shaheen Qadir Khan, Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Miran Baloch chaired a meeting aimed at converting all legal and registered agricultural tube wells to solar power and discontinuing all illegal tube well connections. The meeting, attended by Assistant Commissioner Wapda, SDPO Gul Muhammad, Deputy Director Agriculture Ghulam Dastagir, and representatives of landowners’ action committee, discussed the longstanding issues faced by landowners.
Special attention and efforts from the Balochistan government, spurred by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, have led to collaborative steps with the federal government to initiate immediate implementation with the Energy Department, KESCO officials, representatives of relevant landowner associations, and law enforcement agencies. The meeting emphasized compliance within the stipulated period as per the stringent directives of the Chief Secretary, ensuring no tolerance for delays or excuses in this matter of primary importance.
