Dense Fog Disrupts Traffic Across Punjab, Several Motorways and Highways Closed

Lahore:Severe fog** continues to engulf much of **Punjab**, leading to the closure of several major roads and motorways. According to the **Motorway Police**, the **M2 Motorway** connecting **Lahore** and **Islamabad** has been closed for traffic due to reduced visibility caused by the thick fog.

The affected motorways include:
– **M3** (Lahore to Abdul Hakeem)
– **M4** (Pindi Bhattian to Multan)
– **M5** (Multan to Rohri)

Additionally, the **National Highway** from **Lahore to Sialkot** has also been closed for traffic. In some areas, visibility has dropped to **zero**, making travel extremely hazardous.

Several districts in **Punjab**, including **Sahiwal**, **Mian Channu**, **Multan**, **Lodhran**, **Bahawalpur**, **Ahmadpur East**, **Rahim Yar Khan**, **Sadiqabad**, **Kamalia**, **Hafizabad**, **Patoki**, **Okara**, **Kot Adu**, and **Vehari**, are also experiencing dense fog conditions.

The Motorway Police have urged **drivers** to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and adhere to **safety measures** while driving in these low-visibility conditions.

Meanwhile, **cold weather** continues to dominate much of the country, with **Azad Kashmir** and **Gilgit-Baltistan** experiencing **snowfall** in various regions, adding to the challenges faced by travelers in these areas.
