Defense Minister Khawaja Asif Warns of Consequences if No Accountability for May 9 and November 26 Uprisings

Islamabad:Defense Minister Khawaja Asif** has stated that the **May 9** and **November 26** uprisings were acts of rebellion, and if accountability for these events is not carried out, it will open a dangerous door for the future.

In an appearance on **Geo News’ program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath”**, Khawaja Asif confirmed that an accountability framework is already in place and would be further improved. He emphasized that there is no need for additional investigations into the founder of **PTI** (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), as all evidence and confessions are already available.

Regarding **Imran Khan’s** remarks about senior Supreme Court judges, the defense minister noted that the PTI founder seeks the same judicial backing he received after **May 9**. He suggested that a biased judiciary had supported Khan, otherwise, the issue would have been resolved much earlier.

Khawaja Asif also highlighted a recent complaint against some of the senior-most judges, who, according to him, had written a letter. He concluded by challenging Imran Khan’s call for halting remittances, warning that such a move would be unsuccessful.
